چکیده

Introduction Irisin, a newly discovered myokine, has been reported for its role in coronary artery disease (CAD), which is major cause of mortality worldwide. Atherosclerosis the primary CAD. Irisin to reduce atherosclerosis by improving endothelial function and inhibiting inflammation via iNOS/NF-κB pathways. We sought investigate relationship between serum irisin levels severity CAD that confirmed with angiography. Methods A comparative cross-sectional study was designed Chemical Pathology Cardiology departments at KEMU/Mayo Hospital Lahore, Pakistan. Patients were divided into group mild (<50% stenosis) B moderate-severe (>50% stenosis). Serum collected from venous blood, analyzed ELISA. Inclusion criteria: patients stable Exclusion History bypass grafting (CABG), acute syndrome (ACS), active or chronic infection, hepatic renal dysfunction. Results The mean + SD age (years) (57.0±9.5) significantly higher than (50.0±13.7). (μg/ml) (15.3±4.6) (9.3±2.4). negatively correlated (% Conclusion are low moderate severe CAD, they
